Indigenous cadets ready for NSW police force after vigorous training course
The Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery (IPROWD) program has delivered 13 new Indigenous graduates ready to enter the NSW Police Academy.
The 18-week course is designed to help the New South Wales Government meet a target of 1,000 Indigenous police recruits over 10 years. 702 ABC 3rd Sept 2015
The course, which is run as a partnership between Eora College and Redfern Police Command, gives students the qualifications needed to enter the Police Academy. Three former graduates of the course are now stationed at Redfern Police Station.
