CLOWN DOCTORS

A study led by the University of New South Wales in Sydney has found dementia patients benefit significantly from humor therapy. The study involved four hundred residents of 36 nursing homes and researchers say the results are reason to smile.

QUALITY STANDARDS

The new Aged Care Quality Standards are now in effect.

From 1 July 2019, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) expects that organisations providing aged care services in Australia will comply with new Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards).
